So awesome. The darker colors mixed with the 'brights' of her hair and goggles is freaking brilliant. (*Sigh*) Why did the EU have to ruin one of it's own characters?!

Well, won't get my hope's up. They've said, pretty consistently, that their not pulling from the EU, i.e. no Mara. Also, if rumors are true, and Luke's daughter is the lead character, that means he'll have already been married for some time. Hard to set up Mara Jade if she's already a Mom (frankly, her playing mom is what ruined her in the first place. Legacy's Morrigan Corde *should* have been who Mara was as a Mom) Still, if anyone can breath new life into the EU via the new Trilogy, it's Abrams.

They never said that. They will have EU characters involved, I.E most likely Mara and the Solo children

Actually, yes they did. In the first (or second) video with Kathleen and George posted via Star Wars.com and YouTube. It's also made the rounds. Hell, even Jason, Jimmy, and Kyle discussed that on TheForceCast (before it became RebelForceRadio). I actually find myself rather okay with that. For me, the EU has always, and should always, be an alternate timeline/universe. Like DC Comic's Multiverse.
